The gills were slow today but the turtles were tearing up our jigs, well Gracies jigs anyway. She caught three 6″ snapping turtles and one 6″ blue gill plus a couple smaller ones. Three hours at the lake and it was beautiful today. I fianally convenced Gracie that she would not get hurt touching fish, she touched every one we caught today. That is just touching not holding, hopfully this time next year I will get pictures of her holding her fish. I got six 7 inchers, all fish had very nice color. This picture is Gracie with her 6″ gill. I am one proud Grand Pa. Can you tell?

What, did you think she has a fishing pole? That is my Dora rod and reel set. I can’t wait to get on the ice with it this year.

    Damn straight Skippy

She was putting a lot of thought into holding that gill up and keeping it away from herself.
