Pannies with Gracie

Yesterday I worked hard on the farm so that Gracie and I could spend the day together. My wife made us a picnic lunch to take with us and we pulled out of the shop about 11:00 for a day of blue gill fishing.
I think she really enjoys fishing because she sees how much fun Grandpa has, and the fact that we are best of friends. Gracie just turned two years old and today we fished for about six hours, well I did since she napped for about 1 1/2 hours.
Most of the fish we caught were 6 to 7 inches with a few 8 inch and a nice 9 incher (the last pic) that I caught while she napped. Today she finally touched a fish and stroked her finger along its scales.
We are making progress as far as her comfort with fish and crawlers but is is slow, I just cannot see rushing her. I am afraid if I rush her too much it may just turn her off. If you want to have a really enjoyable day, take a child fishing.

A few more years and she’ll be fishing while you nap.
    Great pics!

Very cool pictures and I commend you on your new fishing partner. I can remember taking my boy when he was still in diapers and those times help make him into the fishing machine he is today. The youth of today is the future of fishing and all us older guys need to expend the energy to insure the future—not to mention it is about the most fun you can have fishing!
