    My step-son brought his son to a small 5 acre lake completely surrounded by land owned by another family member. Due to this being land-locked by the owner… there is no fishing pressure allowing the pan fish to exceed the limits of most “pans”. The two hour fishing trip produced two nice perch that are picture worthy. There were countless others lost… but these two are hitting the frying pan in just a couple hours. One hit almost 14 inches… the other at about 12. I don’t fish for Perch much… but I may have to change my mind considering the size of fish in this pond.

    Nice BIG Perch,
    It definitely is a Mounter Perch, and you can still eat it.

    I have been told that the pond is almost impossible to ice fish due to the ample supply of bait fish in there… but I plan on proving them wrong in short order!!!
