Hi everybody, my name is Corey and I am a Panfish geek. It’s nice to share information and tips with others who share my passion. I love to fish for other species, just having kids and taking them out often keeps me on the Panfish.

I look forward to hearing stories and sharing information with you all.

    Good fishing,

    Corey Bechtold

I don’t like to promote the lakes I fish. The information about the catch will help others catch fish on the lakes in their area.

    Good luck,

    Corey Bechtold

That’s an interesting bait you have tied to that spinning rod. Can you fill me in on it?

    Did you mean me?

If so, the bait on the spinning rod was a 2″ Bobby Garland shad. The color was Electric Chicken. The jig I was using was a Southern Pro 1/32 oz Minnow sytle head that I cut the barb off and painted white with a silver/black eye.

Later I went with the Berkley 1″ Power tube in White and it was working better than any other bait I tried. The 2″ baits caught a few but numbers were better with the smaller profile.

    Good luck,

    Corey Bechtold

Took my parents out fishing yesterday, to the secret lake. Still tons of fish everywhere!

I too am a panfish fan. I spend more time chasing gills than anythings else. I’m forever searching for that 9+ inch blue gill or 14+ crappie. Going tonight as a matter of fact.
