I cooked up these little numbers to use in the dirty water our recent rains have handed us. They fish nicely on 1/32 heads and since the plastic is just about neutrally buoyant, the sink rate is slow so fish have a little longer to see or watch the bait fall. Both the chartreuse and the orange have a dose of uv enhancement added as does the cover dip used to seal the eyes.
I got fish using them by letting the jig free-fall tight along side of sunken vertical wood. The two color bait got the most attention when fished on a plain lead head. I was using 3 pound Nanofil line and tied directly.
The lake I was fishing has taken on a lot of dirt in the water after several rounds of rain recently. Lightning and thunder the other night really put the fish down deep along vertical structure and the approach employed with this bait got the hits and the fish.
