Metro Crappie time; finally

    Finally, after our long Winter it’s crappie time…Numbers and size not great but it sure was fun to fish panfish in open water again on a West metro lake. Especially for me since I am not an ice fisherman.

    I was targeting shallow, dark water bays and it seemed like they turned on right at sunset. My favorite crappie lure is a 1/64 oz. white flu-flu tipped with a either a black Impulse tapeworm or a wedgee.

    Good to hear! The 1/64 oz. white Flu-Flu with a little plastic is my favorite spring crappie bait also. I’ll be out this weekend on Tonka.
