I got it in my head to make a lamination plate for the leech mold, actually a tail mold for a different bait, and tried my hand at a split color leech. The tails filled about 2/3 full and I don’t want to alter the mold so I came to a dead end of sorts, but then decided to see what would result using the short pours. I injected chartreuse pepper over the pearl and ended up with a two color bait that literally created its own tail color. I can live with that.
That minnow was an experiment too. The purple color comes from an additive made for mixing custom automotive paint. Its a powdered product that puts a purple shadow over an existing color of paint. Its cool stuff to work with in plastics. In the sun that purple looks about four feet thick.
