Bimbo Skunk lures

Just wondering how everyone fishes the bimbo skunk for panfish. I have never used them before and was going to try them how do you get them down deep? I was thinking of using a small split shot right above the head but didn’t know if that would kill the action or not. Thanks in advance!!!

Interesting looking baits. I guess I’d just use the weighted version and not have to add any splits to it.
