Current Panfish Reports

    Hey guys!

    I wanted to start a post so people could put current fishing reports for panfish.

    I was out on Saturday and fished in the rain for about 3 hours.

    Found some crappies using a rocky point. The point extends out and is about 6-8 ft on top and then drops into 15 ft around it. Crappies were right up on top amongst the rocks. Had good success with a 1/8 ounce stand-up jig and minnow. Perch color jig. Slow trolled about .7 mph. Also had a 23 inch eye. Fun outing!! Had the lake to myself!! The fall bite is here and crowds have dissappeared.

    Took my kids out this past Sunday and boated a bunch of nice eater size crappies. My 7 year old caught his first crappies jigging. I was a proud dad. I love to jig fish and look forward to teaching my kids the same.

    Sure beat watching the crappy Vikings. We were the only boat on the lake.
