Beater UL Help?

    I need a beater UL. I don’t want anything expensive, but I do want a nice rod… I know, that’s what everyone wants.. but I don’t need the ultimate sensitivity of a “great” rod. I don’t need a st. croix or anything like that, I have those.. I just need one with some sensitivity and not a stick of rubber and cheap enough that I can toss it around a bit without worrying about it.

    Any suggestions? I know daiwa and shimano have some cheaper rods out now that are supposed to be pretty good.

    I have a Scheel’s Pro Classic UL with a Shimano Sedona reel. Great price and lifetime warranty

    I have heard great things about them, but the closest one to me is an hour away. Lifetime warranty is cool, but not if it takes $50 in gas to go get it replaced!

    That is true, then I would pony up little more and get a shimano. Lifetime OTC exchanges with shimano.
