tiny baits, down’n dirty

Here’s a nice, compact sunfish plastic. It actually an ice bait, but I find favor with it in open water. Once the sunfish spread out after spawning this is a good do-nothing type of bait just dropped down and fished with the rod in a hold while the boat drifts or is very slowly bumped along with a trolling motor.

This bait is bad enough news for sunfish but now its going to be even dirtier than before.

The penny helps put the actual size of the baits in perspective.

I love my nano mold for perch. They crush them in the summer.

Very nice baits. Can these be purchased or do you hand make them.If so you do a beautiful job making them.

These things are downright murder to make since everything on the bottom half of the bait is hand poured. I took a challenge from someone and ended up with what you see here, but I don’t think I’ll be making any more.
