with the ice season slowly coming to an end soon.. for me at least im getting exited for highs in the 30,s and pounding the shores of the mississippi here a month or so..

i know some of the best icefishing can be done ” late ice” in late feb..march and even april.. but its that time when the river is yelling my name..

up to this point its been a great ice season to say the least..being able to get out every weekend and sometimes more has helped me stay on top of the “bite”..

i set a goal for myself this year to hit new to me never fished by me lakes this year and boy was that fun…and even better having good results..now i have at lest five lakes that im exited about hitting next year and also this spring if i can pry myself from the muddy miss…

i always thought that i was a above average ice fisherman but boy did i learn a lot this season.. my confidence sky rocketed with using plastics..and also not settling for just fish that are biting instead constanly moving to find quality…

i must give a huge thankyou to WADE BOARDMAN and NICOLE..for the gift to me of his old but new to me jiffy auger..man dude that made my season..

thought i would share some pics…tight lines guys and gals the best is yet to come

Nice batch of crappies, I too have started using -plastics only- this ice season. I’ve had a great success too. Makes you feel good when you can catch a mess of fish on plastics.
