Got out and tried out the float tube for the first time Sunday. These things are great! Had a blast, hauled in some toads! Small private lake that I had to myself, doesn’t get over 20′ deep. All gills were up tight to shore in the reeds,and all taken on a pink/white demon jig and lil nipper with 1″ gulp minnows! If you haven’t tried a float tube, you HAVE to

Sure did, It’s owned by two old farmers. They actually are animate about keeping people out- but I went up the long driveway past all the beware of this and that signs lol, knocked on his door, shook his hand and told him what I was there for. After getting to know me over the past year I’m now considered a friend of his. They are gorgeous fish though, colors are amazing

My buddy ownes a belly boat ( What he calls them ) and a boat. He has been out 20 plus times so far this summer and the boat has not been out of the garage yet. He just loves to fish out of that Float tube. He has tried many times to get me to tag along with him. I am going to have to find some time to take him up on that offer one of these days.
