Yeah but then you have to clean all those.

Sooooo…..
What part of Illinois or Iowa you from?
For once we agree Pug, thats FUNNY stuff
That’s just a dam shame ! I can see keeping enough to eat but that is excessive. Just my humble opinion.
WOW, thats a lot of crappies. What were you guys using?
I know that it is hard to look at a pickup bed full of big crappies, but please remember that the southern boys fish different then us northern guys. The creel limit on crappies in Mississippi is 20.
Ron
i live in north mississippi the limit is 20 per person over 12″ my fishing partner and my grand kids were with me 2 boats we caught 384 spring break week the fish were from 13″ to 18 1/2 ” several 3+ pounds
…oh and welcome to the site.
I think before we judge, we might not want to jump to conclusions. He could have been fishing his private pond. It could have been a 12 man fishing party.
several of our core of engineers lakes have been selected as trophy crappie lakes they have strict creel limits 20 fish per person limits size restrictions all fish have to measure over 12″ and pole limits on spider rigging they have been in effect for about 5 years
every one has on opinion these fish were cleaned and used in a fish fry for a group of navy seals in traning here in the county i live in theat’s the rest of the story.
Thanks Steve for clearing up your location as that will explain enough for most of us.
Welcome to IDO.
What tactics were you guys using to catch those beauties.
Ron
we were jig fishing in about 2′ of water with a 1/16 oz jig and a black and pink tube 10′ bucks jig pole some were caught casting a jig n cork
Jig’n’ & cork’n…..what a blast. That’s a great way to fish.
Got a taste of that last year down in Kansas.
Nice fish by the way!
I bet those seals didn’t leave any scraps from that mess.
You got any pictures of the fish fry with the seals?
We have a saying on these boards.
So now we need proof of who ate the fish? Hope he comes back but i’m doubting it.

And if he had photo’s of Navy Seals eating the fish would it be photo shopped and more proof needed?
Shawn
This ain’t my first trip on the internet. I’ve seen this ploy many times.
Like I told Targa, I am as gullible as they get. So if I smell something, I imagine everyone else is plugging their nose.
I never really went after the guy keeping fish. It doesn’t bother me one bit. But to then turn it around with a story like that after a little backlash, it seems a bit fishy.
And truth be told I’d rather I be wrong or have the guy say he caught them, ate them and the rest of us can suck it.
Also if it were me, I’d be posting the fish fry for Seals with pride before I’d have posted pictures of the bed of a pick up full of crappies.
Maybe we can settle all this with an invite to take me fishing down there with a nice crappie fry at the end.
Welcome to the site Buddy,,,Its true guys because the growing seasons longer and this pictures probably one of the smaller catches. Lake Livingston where I lived close by the (average) crappie was 2 pounds and alot of people would limit out with 2 pounders and above sitting in a lawn chair in one spot. The longer growing season makes a big diffrence and alot of the lakes would stunt if people didn’t catch them. Its a whole diffrent ball game down south with a longer growing season as they grow all year long instead of just the warmer months like up north here.
As long as he was within the limit the DNR has set forth for size/ammount of fish, who are we to judge
Nice Catch
