This is a nice “soft” color that works well when the river starts to slow up and the water clears some. The transparent green back will stand out nicely on the belly color looking very much like the natural forage found on pools 4 and 5.

These things look KILLER Tom!! Do you fish them under a bobber or on a jig pitching setup? Thanks for the photos they look delicious…

Very cool. They say the best bait has to catch a fisherman before it can ever catch a fish… I’m hooked. These and some of the others you have posted in the past, do you sell them, or produce them for your own use?

I fish these under a float only if the fish tell me that they are suspending at a certain depth. These baits respond very nicely when fished on a jig being cast and hop-jigged in retreive and when fished vertically along structure such as dock posts or sunken wood.

The plastic used has an almost neutral bouyant quality and lacing these on 1/32 jigs produces a slower dropping bait than many other plastic baits. By themselves in a glass of water they will float. A 1/16 head will drop these about as fast as a 1/32 will sink a 1.5″ twister tail.

Tailoring the drop rate by using different heads makes this one a super versatile bait when the water warms a bit more. June will see these really start to produce as a rule.

Just a simple switch from the gold belly color to a very thin smoke sporting some micro-fine red and silver glitters and wallah….

….oh, yea. The eyes went red for this one to help bring up the red in the belly. Works good.
