Finally made it out to Silver Lake near my home on Saturday for a quick hour of fishing. Caught 13 crappies, 1 perch. Lost 3 on the way up. All on the small side, 7-8″ but a pretty decent day overall (for me). Used a ratfinkee with a white power wiggler. Fish were biting in about 5-8 FOW. Got to try my new ice troller fish finder, how did I ever fish without one?

Don’t ever forget your locator because if you do, you will lose sometime getting to your spot. You will turn around and go back home for it, been there and done that myself 
I live very close to this lake as well. Can be a good time for lots o’ fish although they do tend to run on the small side. There are some nice Channel cats in there that you might luck into as well.
Thanks, although if i do find a channel cat he probably won’t fit through my 5″ hole. i wouldn’t know what to do with a fish that big anyway!
