BIG Halloween Bluegills

Charles, Juan, and myself got on another BIG bluegill bite today. Finesse fishing was the only way to get them to eat. Water temps were down to 44 degrees and the fish were really skittish. We constantly had to move to say on them. Tiny tungsten jigs with plastics and a waxie or tiny piece of crawler is all that worked, and we threw the box at them. The fish were holding in 22-29ft of water. Were releasing all gills over 9″ and crappies over 12″ as their highly responsible for the future of the lake. Another great day!

Spectacular bluegills, nice work. I can only wish I had a hole that would produce gills of that size.

No doubt, congratulations for acting the part of great sportsmen; both for dialing in some huge fish, and for releasing them.

Hopefully certain type of fishermen who hit that lake aren’t as good as you guys and catch the ones you release, only to be paraded home on a stringer for a pat on the back.

That pic speaks volumes. Congratulations on the catch, and a big thank you for letting him swim to fight again.
