small river panfish

    Anyone have advice on targeting sunfish and crappies on a small river? This river has a good population of predator fish. What kind habitat, depths, or any tips on how to find panfish in this environment would be appreciated.

    I’ve found them in 10-20 FOW on the Croix the last couple of weeks. Look for structure. Weeds and docks hold a lot of good panfish on the rivers. Slip bobbers can be a lot of fun river fishing pannies but I’ve caught a lot lindy rigging with crawlers as well.
