Went to a local canal today and fish for about 5 hours. Fish were tight lip for sure. They would take a good look at it and that is all they would do. Down size, changed lures,move alot and did all the old tricks they were not going to bite. A few fish were caught around me but nothing worth keeping. Talking to a few guys I guess fishing is slow all over.
I’ve takin up basket weaving and knitting due to all these tight lipped fish. 
Targaman, If you could weave a good straw hat and enough of them, I’ll sell them on the beach for ya in Mexico, or someplace warm.

its been that way aroudn the quad city area so far the past couple weeks. 2 1bs 12 oz won the RICC tourney (10 gills) usually its at least 3lbs. also i heard the winning catches at izaak waltons tourney were on the smaller side as well.
unless you are fishing farm ponds, nothing seems to be hitting good.
