I was in Red Wing working yesterday and had to make a bank run so I extended my trip and went over to Everts to get some info on Dean’s new line of plastics. Very nice products….super soft and great colors.

While at Evert’s I had the honor of meeting Brian Sander….great to meet you Brian. And Dean….always a pleasure.

Figuring I was already in hot water for being away from the shop too long already, I swung into the harbor and made a few casts with a Culprit Paddletail and the first fourcasts caught a crappie. All were fair fish around the 11 inch mark. A change in casting directions put me atop of a pod of sunfish, but the didn’t amount to much and I wrapped up my mini-vacation and went back to work.

Both Red Wing and Lake City have shown promise as to a crappie bite getting geared up. At 41 degrees here in Roch this AM, the water should be getting rid of heat and that will just get the fishung even better.

Again, great to see you again Dean and Brian it was great to finally meet you as well.
