    Today; a friend of mind & I brought to the boat about 100 Crappies & 90 bluegills, all on light hair jigs. You might say they were ah, going All different colors produced as the cloud cover, little wind, & periodic sun shine kept changing. I’m surprised at the lack of boat traffic, only saw four total. {John}

    Now that sounds like fun John, Are you still fishing in the downed brush/trees or are you on the rip rap ?

    I’m still fishing the back water sloughs, mostly little or no current, wood, should be good water depth & bait fish in the vicinity. Lure placement is crucial as most of the big ones look at it a moment or two & then suck it in. I think minnows are often a handicap as you can’t change there color & they often move away from the crappies. John the person who shared my boat taught me jig tying a few years ago so our fishing style is generally the same.
