I made it out today with my good friends todd and euriah to see if we could pull any slabs out of the junk. It started out slow with the slip bobber and minnow approach only pulling out a couple little guys. Then I switched to a northland rattle spoon and that approach worked out a little better. I could tell my spot must be getting worked hard due to the garbage and line balls that were left on a log. So after cleaning up the mess that was left by a lazy fisherman we proceeded to find a new spot. The move worked out pretty good. I started using a tiny hot pink ball head jig with minnow. Most would strike on the fall. I pulled out many nice slabs with this approach. All fish were released to fight another day…
