Hello to everyone. I just joined the forum a few weeks ago and have been reading the posts and learning alot. I recently moved to WI from NE to finish out school in Platteville. I would like to get to know some people from around this area with any advise on fishing the Mississippi and possibly gain a new fishin buddy. I used to work for Cabelas in Kearney NE and am a very avid fisherman. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Welcome to IDA!!!

I’m sure you’ll find the answers you need here. Feel free to drop into the Wisconsin Forums too. We have a lot of talented anglers from that area.

    Welcome Donny!

Make sure you don’t overlook the creeks and the Little Platte there near Platteville. It’s been a very long time, but we used to get some monster smallies in the area.

    Howdy All!

    Take my boy DonnyD fishin!

Dustin lived in Nebraska the last number of years and left his #1 fishing partner in the world behind, ME. He is truly missed out here and became my favorite ever fishing partner. We still talk every chance we get and so far he has touched less fish in Wisconsin then I have fingers on one hand due to working hard in college and a part time job to boot. So after next week when he finishes up finals, and you all are looking for a fishing partner for the morning let this fine example of a young man come along. He is about 10 years younger then I and yet as a 20 something year old is truly, well he is in my wedding in June so enough said!

    Take the boy fishing!

This un-solicited personal add for a friend is now over.

    Craig
