Been fishing areas around Wabasha/Kellog area. Lots of areas with dead shad. Found the fish most active in areas near some current. Marked lots of fish off the beaten path in deeper water but they were not interested. Might have been shad? Mostly gills with crappies turning on towards evening. A few perch and bass in the mix as well. Also caught a walleye in 3 ft of water! Caught and released many gills around 9″ and a few crappies over 12″. Been in pursuit of a 10″ gill. Seems this area doesnt produce any over 9″. Anybody ever caught a 10′ on pool 4 or 5? I might have to head to pool 8 for the true bulls….
