My wife and I just had our first two children (twins) on Dec 11th. Needless to say fishing time has been short around my house. I was able to sneek away for a few hours today with my Dad. I was debating weather to head north to the Amery area or south to the Nelson area backwaters, we ended up fishing the backwaters.
We started fishing around noon and found the action to be fast and furious from the get go. My old school Dad was using a bare hook with a feed worm in about 9 fow and I was using small jigs with plastics, color did not seem to matter. The fish we were getting were pretty small so we started moving around and found the pigs to be in 4-5 fow. We fished from noon to three and each cought about one hundred fish. Both of us kept just enough for a meal and let the rest go.
I can’t wait till my kids are old enough to fish with me!!!

Cute kids and nice fish. You must be proud! I got to take my kids out on the ol pool 4 this year and they are 6 and 9 now. My daughter got her first walleye jigging with me. My son is still learning and feeding the fish. Great times this fall. Good luck to you and your family as their are some great fishing adventures ahead for you!

Congrats on the twins. They sure are ”keepers.” Nice fish too. Thanks for sharing.
    Thanks, Bill
