Tim and I found some slobasorus crappies and bull gills on pool 8 today. It was a beautiful day on the ice, we left at noon with some really good results. All my early ice spots from Wabasha to Brownsville have been producing. We found water levels and ice clarity to be a key factor in locating fish today. The Bull gills wanted a waxie and the crappies had to be finesse jigged, artifical worked better on the crappies as they were hitting up right under the ice to an inch off the bottom. I also was able to use my Courtland High Vis line to detect bites that the spring was unable to detect. HOF is now stocking this product, give it a try you will not be disapointed.
