Made it out yesterday at Galena. Ice was in good shape. Ranged from 6 inches up to 10 inches. Covered a lot of the backwaters from the Ferry Landing north. Great ice – no fish! Caught a total of two fish in seven hours – one gill and one bass. Talked to a few others that were out and pretty much the same story. Fish did not seem to be biting anywhere this weekend around the Galena area. Quite a bit of snow on the ice so maybe that was the killer. Also the barometer was very high. Maybe this weekend.
