Thinking about trying Stoddard over Christmas vacation. Hows the ice, and the Bluegill bite?

general 5-8 inches of ice…most spots have 6″+ but watch the soft spots. Today was terrible, but once the weather pattern starts to become more steady, we should see at least a slight pick up. Today, you had to work but i believe there are still some good fish in there. They are very lethargic with this weather. man its times like these i wish i had a vex

Just a hint. When fishing Stoddard, don’t be afraid to find water away from the crowds. The big gills get tight lipped when there is alot of action on the ice!
