What a Beautiful Day to Catch Some Bluegills

This morning I decided that I would spend the day fishing. I headed to my favorite spot out at Cold Springs and settled in for a full day of sun soaking (YES – I even remembered the sun screen) and bluegill fishing.
Course with the second job, I quite didn’t get out of bed as early as I wanted but thats ok. It was 10 am when the first bluegill came in and it was a dandy. The day went on with mix results – mostly under size and a bunch of baby bass as well. But by 7 pm I had my limit and was ready to go home. I saw many other anglers doing about the same as me with a nice size bass now and then as well as a few crappies (I even got one) and a couple white bass. All in all it was a beautiful day to be on the River even if the fish were not biting.

Way to Hummm CFG! Dandy looking (and tasty looking I might add) sunnies!

Even though I had a cloud hanging over my head today…(got schooled by the boat next to me) it was a fantastic day to be out! I’m LOVEN IT!

Ya, I limit out – my first time ever doing that too.
I was using red worms and they were biting light. Had to really watch your bobber and be very patient – no cranking and yanking today. But it made for a relaxing day.

Bluegill fishing makes for a great relaxing fun day of fishing. I have spent many days fishing for them this year and catching them on light tackle is a blast. Haven’t had so much fun in years. Getting back to the basics of fishing between chasing eyes has been a blessing for this guy and it looks like for you too. I have been able to get in alot more fishing that way. Thanks for the report and pics.
    Thanks, Bill
