How Fishing Machine Spent Her BIRTHDAY!!!

Well, what better way to celebrate a birthday but to spend it on the water . And as a added bonus, she spent it with me .

We met up again at our favorite landing and set off at about 8:30 this morning. The birthday present – we were hoping that the fishing gods would help us out here and get us into some fish.

So were they kind enough to give in?

    Only a little bit .

There were some crappies, a couple bluegills, and a couple cats to take home, but for the most part, it was the sheepies and little gills that pestered us the most. It still made for a great day though – lots of action and lots of laughs.

Here is one huge sucker Fishing Machine caught.

There isn’t any rusty hooks in Marys boat. You gals spend alot of time on the water, Catfishgirl you always hold your fish with pliers? Mooneyes out of warm water are kinda slimey, i don’t blame you. I wish i knew about marys secret fishing spots i’ve heard about. See you both on the water soon.

NO, but the fish were really swallowing the hooks so it was easier just to take the pliers and give them a shake and a toss.

Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes.
71 and feel like 50. Am I an OF now
Was so nice of Cheri to spend her day with me. Didn’t have to twist her arm too much for her to say she’d go out with me. Sorry the fish didn’t cooperate better for us today Cheri.

How many times do I have to say it, it doesn’t matter the number of fish we catch, I just enjoy the chance to fish with you and be on the River. We always have fun no matter if there is fish or not

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mary
I was gone most of the weekend and forgot about your birthday. I think we better get together and go out to eat like we usually do. Sounds like you and Catfish Girl had a good time on your Birthday. Couldn’t do anything much better than that.

I am sworn to the secrets of the River – don’t want to end up in the River that is.

Happy Birthday Mary!!! We’ll have to get together when I come up on the 25th,for a couple weeks. We can celebrate both of our B days. When is Herb going to make it up? I’ve been saving the crappies in Minnesota Slough for when he is there. Glad you got to fish on your B Day. I’ll be at work for mine. Later

    Hi Jim
Milon K said that you and Linda are up for a week. Would love to get with you while here.
I have not seen Herb all summer. Working FT job now and so much over time doesn’t leave him much time to get up here with a 41/2 hr drive.
    I’ll give you a call.

Hey Briank, there were days. Was always checking to see how many gray hairs I had at the end of a day. When I’d find any I’d pull them out. That is until I was told that triple when pulled
His wife tells me I can have him back any time. Don’t hear of him back here though do you ?
That’s Ok Herb I still love you

Having ahellof a time getting away from Lake Doofuss. Everytime I try to plan a trip up home, the monkeys get wind of it and threaten a walk out, and there’d be no one else there to operate the gumball machines, our only income producer.
    One of these days maybe.

Hmmm…I quit pulling my gray hairs once I realized they were falling out by themselves…maybe I should start pulling them if three more show up!

Don’t blame me for the gray hairs. Must have been those bratty siblings of mine.

Hey Briank I could give you some of mine. No shortage here.
Very very thick and that is why I keep it cut short. Too much to carry around. Guess I best be happy tho. Right
