Have the white bass spawned out yet?

Living in Mora and want to fish Pool 4. How is the waterlevel and clarity and the water temperature.

Did real good the end of April and then they just quit. Only got a couple of small males the beginning of May that were still milky. The females that I got in April were very aggressive and very ripe. Nasty weather at that time. But they just quit.

I see that Rock River is having spawning females to catch.

Any body got some answers . Rather not drive 130 miles for a half a dozen small males . Are they done spawning or did that long cold front put them down until the weather and water warmed up.

I don’t know about over there, but We were catching solid 3lb females here on Pool 8 last week, and the males we were catching were milking all over the boat I’d say you’ll probably still find some good fish.

I was out yesterday and sunday evening. Water temp is 55 to 59 and I did catch three white bass while throwing around for smallies. Water is at a normal level and current ain’t to bad. If you get down by the cut that takes you to thatchers you might see the overturned lund I guess they can’t get a boat in there to get it out. all that is sticken out is the two motors and the bottom. If you dont want to go that far for white bass check out Taylors falls or Osceola on the croix. I put up a small report a few weeks back about the white bass action over there. They where realy on the chew before the last cold front came thru. Would think they should be going again by now. We must of caught 100 white bass that day with most running 15-16″. The largest where hitting 18″. Very nice size fish. Most likely with in a hour from your house also.

As of Tuesday down here on pool 8, NO they have not spawned out yet
