The walleye fishing pretty much sucked yesterday so I decided to try for crappies. Good move I think. Tied up to a brush pile and proceded to boat crappies and gills. Quit counting at 40. The crappies ranged in size from 6 inches to 14. Never kept a fish under 10″. All the gills were 6″ and smaller. Brought home a baker’s dozen of crappie. Ice jigs tipped with a wax worm. Orange with black tip Demon was the color they wanted till I lost it. Then tied on a Gitzit. First time I’ve used one of those since buying a bunch of them after reading one of Apple Canyon Jeff’s reports. Good little jig.

Pool 18 Tony. Water temps in the low 40’s. Out of the current and the big fish were buried deep in the jungle.

You got it BFD. Besides, we’re supposed to hook up sometime this summer on pool 4. I don’t want to mess that up.
