Lake Onalaska Fishing

I was out on Friday and did pretty good on the lake. The better ones we caught were still pre-spawn, but on or near bedding areas. They were caught on crawlers in shallow sandy/weedy areas. I also saw another boat come in with some dandy crappies. So they are biting, you just have to keep moving until you get on them. I am probably going to try again tomorrow.

I got a chance to get out this morning and did well in the stump fields. In about 2 hours with two people, we got 2 northens, 3 bass, and 1 walleye. All were of legal size. We lost at least that many also. The weeds are getting thick out there. As for panfish, we tried without any luck. Good luck to all that get out.
