Pan size crappies and hand sized blue gills are on fire right now on the north end of the Pool 9.

Hey Lawrence, what presentation were you using to catch most of you fish? What depths were you fishing?

Lawrence do you ever get up to pool 7 in the backwaters by Trempealeau for panfish? That is where we always go and had very good luck last fall there. Going on Saturday if the rain holds off so I will post results when I get home

I was copying the diehards slip bobber and light hook with redworm. Gills in wood or rocks , crappies, in trees with only 3-6 feet underneath. Gills picked it up of the bottom and crappies seemed to be about 1 1/2 feet off the bottom.

Just a thought but I fish the gills this time of the year with a bare hook no sinkers no bobbers and small piece of crawler. Just flip it under a tree limb letting the crawler hit the water with a little blip. Sorry I don’t know what a blip is. Anyway caught 18 keepers earlier in the week and 15 keepers today could have caught more but was happy with what I had in a short time. Good Fishing Ya All!
