Looking for pool 5A crappies

I have spent much of my time fishing walleye and bass on 5A but I was wondering anyone was willing to reveal some decent panfish areas. I have fished past the Core of Eng. barges on the way to Marrick Park with some success but looking for other areas closer to Bass Camp. I tried to get into Keiselhorse yesterday and was caught by surprise to see the sand bars nearly blocking the entire access. I was also not able to get very far into another channel due to the sand.

My two boys love the action that crappies and gills can provide, any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

Eyesnducks, To get back to Kieisle horse slough you have to keep to the left side just along the wingdam. The rest has really filled in the last 2 years. Pm me and I can put you on a few spots on the upper half of the pool. What kind of boat do you have? I might have seen you out and about some time. I have a 16′ lowe with a 50 merc and a 4 horse kicker. If you see me stop by.

Dodge Boy, I tried to PM you the other day, did you receive that message

I fished the head of pool 6 on Saturday with the boys and we did manage to find some decent crappies near the spillway backwaters but the good ones were few. My 4-year old did manage to boat a 12″ and 14″ along with a 13″ bass. I would guess a few decent weather days and the panfish action should get hot

    Good luck to all.
