This should cool things off in here.

Packers’ McCarthy says hit on Aaron Rodgers was ‘an illegal act’

Thats funny how he feels that way when its his own QB. I don’t remember him saying anything about this hit.

Oh, I remember that one well. The McMahon slam! I was watching that game on the TV back then with Packer fan relatives. Back then they were truly “Packthetic”. The glory era of Mossy Cade, James Lofton in the elevator… shock

    1986 come on!

You can find hits like this by any team at some time.
    Still don’t make it right.
I don’t like it by any team and I don’t like to see any player get hurt.

If a mediocre qb got hit in the same fashion you wouldn’t have even heard about it. You want lessen dirty hits take face masks off the helmets would eliminate headshots that’s a another discussion though. Vikes fan but still saying bring back favre

I think McCarthy was told by ownership to do some WWF style marketing on the Barr hit. There is no way he believes that tackle was illegal.

Crappie, I am not a Packer fan. All I know is that McCarthy gets his guys to play and play well most of the time. The Packers have had their share of injury issues over the years. It really didn’t slow them down that much as far as I can tell. For instance the only time Rodgers was out for an extended period, the Pack still won the North. McCarthy is a very good coach IMO.

I am going to laugh my arse off when the Pack ends with a better record than the Vikes. Neither one is going to the playoffs either way.

Those are great clips from the 1900’s when McMahon was in the NFL coffee

Who’s going to win the division the Bears or Lions then?

Pack could split the next ten games and go 9-7. could win the division or even at 8-8. they not dead yet.. who is miles away better at this point in the NFC? I’m not giving up hope for the season. clean hit, bad break. it’s football. looking forward to the 12/23 tilt. that will be a ball game!

The Vikings are 4-2, yes, further injuries could happen, but which of these are they going to lose:

    Ravens home
    Browns London
    Redskins road
    Rams home
    Lions road
    Falcons road
    Panthers road
    Bengals home
    Packers road
    Bears home

They should go at least 4-1 vs Ravens, Browns, Bengals, Bears and Packers. They would have to go 0-5 vs Skins, Rams, Lions, Panthers and Falcons to only finish at 8-8. If you trust the power rankings, the Vikings are 7 (I see them as more like 13-15. Even still, 6-4 seems reasonable for the last 10. I don’t see 9-7 or 8-8 being good enough.

That is highly likely and then they will drop at least one of the games you think they should win, plus they are going to lose bad in Packer land. End of story smash

I will say 1 thing and 1 thing only. After spending Sunday through Wednesday in the cities, I cannot believe how giddy Viking fans are because of this injury. It’s almost puke in my mouth and swallow as I listen to you poor saps gloat over this. So my take is this. You know and hate the fact we have the better team, better player so the only way you can get some satisfaction is see our best player busted up. So live it up now, this all might come back to haunt you. Rodgers has a way of holding a grudge and making it pay, yes he is just that good…..

So who were you hanging around with? I live and work in the cities and nobody I know or have come across is even talking about it anymore. I think for most of the “cities” folk, they have moved on to more important things than football.

We were MUCH more giddy last year when the Vikings where undefeated AND had beaten a HEALTHY Rodgers. I think the overwhelming majority of Viking fans would rather beat the Packers at their best vs a wounded team. But considering in injuries the Vikings have suffered, it is amazing to see them even talking about making the playoffs.

If soccer and basketball weren’t sooooooooo bad nobody would even care about football.

Rodgers, Packers, blah, blah, blah nobody except their fans give a crap about them.

I did not watch the game, but did see the tackle of Rogers..again, any other QB in the league and its ho hum.. he got hurt. I think it is karma at work… I dislike any player who uses cheap sandlot shi7 to play the game, the hurry up and catch them with 12 on the field… with the 12th guy sprinting trying to get to the sideline, amateur move he does ALL THE TIME. The over the top antics when his helmet gets scraped or he gets sacked… like he was pummeled and beat with a club. Well, now when he gets a real hit, he can really play it up. Karma. Love it.

Easy there GoatBay Fans, Eryn will be fine, there’s always next season.
As a matter of fact Next Year you will be able to exclaim that if Eryn was healthy you would have been SB LII champs.
