We arrived about 6 am and John and Mike told us hair jig and minnow fished slow was the ticket. Their advice was spot on.
We started out up by the dam and put a few in the box. Our biggest walleye of the day was caught in 14 fow up there. We caught a few shorts and decided to head down stream away from the crowds.
We stayed downstream most of our day and ended up with 18 keepers between four of us. We caught at least 50 fish today. All but one on hair. We were constantly changing color, but chartreuse, orange, and blue produced the best.
Awesome day on the water.
