Made it out to Pool 2 on Saturday for the first time since the water dropped. The game plan was to spend the morning pitching wing dams with jigs and cranks. We tried 3 dams with little success so we moved further downstream. The 5th was the charm!
In a few hours we got about 10 from 18-low 20 inches plus a few bonus sheepies, carp, and one channel cat. All fish came on jigs and crawlers, nothing on cranks. An 1/8th oz jig was right for the inside and top of the dam, and a 3/16th was the ticket towards the tip where it was a bit deeper and heavier flow. About half the fish hit while holding the jig dead still just upstream from the face of the dam.
