With the recent post about the poor Mississippi River Walleye fishing and the lack of river reports I thought I would add my own…Fishing on Pool 2 was pretty good today. The Walleyes appear to be in their post spawn locations on wingdams and certain current breaks. The river has come down quite a bit but there was still good flow over the wingdams. Hair jigs on wingdams and trolling current breaks put fish in our boat today. Numbers were pretty good with a couple of our big fish around 25″. Even found a couple new trolling runs that held fish which is a plus.
Beautiful day to be on the river. Especially when the fish are biting.
