Remember the good old days when it was so packed and had to wait 45 minutes to launch your boat at the resort? Dean would greet everyone with a smile, give you good advice and visit with you like you were friends for life! Not needing to walk on eggshells. Dang I miss them days

Seeing the post today from Jack asking for the hydrograph sure brought back memories ! There wasnt a day that wasnt started by looking at the river gauges.
The river, fish and memories are still there and continue on ! Truly grateful for the memories !

One of my favorite fishing lines was from Dean. I was just coming to the launch, and fishing was really slow that day. All he said was “they gotta eat sometime”.

For some reason I love that quote; it’s optimistic, and yes, in order to survive they actually do have to eat sometime!

It would take a couple pitchers to let you have a flavor… or should I say coffee pots. crazy

To really understand P4, you have to give a bag of cookies to Dean

Kringle did the trick too; Dean wasn’t too picky.
And when the fish stopped biting, “They were still there, just slid out.”

I haven’t been on this site in months and stop by and see all the old crew on this post. Those are some great memories. Deano trying to keep BK in line and keep Redneck cracker in stock. You can’t think back to that time without thinking about River Rat Randy and his laughter. Those were some really really good times!!!!!!

I remember the spring day where Dean secretly gave my wife a hot jig in the tackle shop while I was getting minnows. She out fished me 2 to 1. She had a ball. Her friends (and mine) heard about it for weeks. Thanks for a special memory Dean.

It was a March morning and the lines at the counter were long from the folks that normally fish the river in the spring.

Towards the back of the line Dean recognized one of his very frequent customers. He announced to everyone…

“I hope you guys don’t mind, but I need to take care of this special guest first as he’s a regular”. With that, he had him come to the front of the line, got him his items and out the door he went.

I’m not sure how many cookies that took but there were “perks”. )

Do you guys all still hang out down by the river somewhere? Are you all to be found on the water. Wish there was something like this in our area, but there just isn’t

Where else could you try out a StCroix rod before you buy, at one time that little shop was the largest StCroix dealer ( seller ) in the state.

There were days I am sure Dean would of liked to chuck the whole thing not everybody was a nice person, but Dean bit his tongue and carried on.

    Thank You Dean.

All the original cool people moved on from that little resort some are here some are there, some are close some are far, but the most part no longer at that place, for most they have there own reasons and for some they don’t know why but for the most they all still enjoy P 4

Sratcher there still a couple OG people there and there are things I can tell you about that place and the people in control of it but I think you know most of it !
I dont miss the place at all and only miss 3-4 campers still there, those eggs shells you walked on were the same ones I walked for 3 years. I am glad to be rid of that place ,It hasnt hurt my tackle Bussines at all if anything it has helped it because I can sell when, were and how I want now ..even the new campsite let me put a banner on the back of my camper for advertisement..
FYI…I have blocked him and that place from everything I am on !
