I love mine. I’ve been using it 2 years now and I can’t speak highly enough about it. I also use nose jammer at the same time. I’ll try to get a video uploaded from opening weekend where a doe and two fawns fed right underneath me dead down wind of me for at least a couple minutes before they moved on never knowing I was there.

I really think they shine in a ground blind scenario.

Please explain the nose jammer smell of vanilla? I won some and sprayed it in my garage. It lingers for a long time. How can this not spook animals? At first wiff they would think something is wrong?

Tagged on this iv been really considering buying one. I use nose jammer as well and have had great results with it. I have had several does and young bucks that circle around me and get down wind and will stick there nose in the air where you wait for them to blow and bust out of there. But they didn’t they just sat there for a few seconds with nose in the air then just calm down and start feeding again.

I wish I could explain how the Nose Jammer works but I’ve read Vanilla has been a trick hunters have used for years. What I do know, the combination of the two over the last 3 seasons has helped me to fill my freezer. As I sat and reflected on this post last night, I came to realize almost every deer I’ve shot has come in down wind of me. I do still wash my clothes in scent free soap. I take a shower just before going to the stand. I tromp in as much cow poo as I can when appropriate(on my SD hunts, from box blinds).

3 seasons ago, I fooled 2 coyotes at less than 20 yards, dead down wind of me. One didn’t live to tell about it. 2 seasons ago, I arrowed two mature does and a 148″ buck in SD. All came in downwind. They knew something wasn’t quite right, but yet they still crossed my trail and scent cone to come to less than 30 yards. Last season I had several mature does come into my stand with the same cautious reaction but as soon as they cleared my scent cone, they relaxed and did their thing. On my last night in SD, I arrowed a decent 3.5 old buck at 8 yards who also came in downwind. Now this year in Mn I watched this doe and fawns feed right past me at 20 yards or less. Cripes, listen to the stand creak… Later that night I arrowed a small 2.5 year buck at 20 yards, dead down wind of me.

Now, my experience in the field hasn’t been 100% positive either. I did get snorted at one night last season from 4 different directions as the wind was swirling badly. Talk about blowing out a stand. doah

On windy days, the Ozonics/Nose Jammer combo have less of an advantage in my opinion. When they provide me with the best cover is when I’m in a blind that also helps conceal my scent. I always spray the Nose Jammer downwind of me on the tree. I want my scent to pass “thru” the Jammer. Does this help, probably not but it’s my game and I’ll play the way I want. shock
