Holy… This is quite a show! One season, 8 episodes. It’s a combination of Survivor and Alone with a few twists. 16 people comprise four teams dropped into the Alaskan wilderness for a chance to win big money. You will love some contestants and hate others on this roller coaster of a show.

I going to have to disagree. I think it’s A TERRIBLE SHOW!!!

I watched the first few episodes and thought, hey this is a great twist, sort of like Alone meets Survivor but with more strategy and no stupid voting and alliances like Survivor!

It completely went off the rails about halfway through with no concept of rules or any clue on what you can or can’t do. It turned into a real life Lord of the Flies, and while the drama was a bit fun to watch, it was clearly staged and somewhat scripted and then in the end actually came down to a vote kicking one player off, which they said wasn’t going to happen.

It had great potential but ended up really bad. One day they have crab pots that are filled up in just few hours (crabs were dead by the way lol) and next day they are starving to death. They are told to build rafts which they need to float to places they can’t get to, meanwhile the next day they walk to the same place. They talked about being swept away by the current and not being able to stop, yet magically right back to where they started. The continuity was terrible. Oh and 100% that Trout lake was stocked. They were literally catching fish with anchor rope. I bet it was filmed on some private property up there, you could even see tire tracks in some of the shots. HAHA

I agree with everything you say 3Rivers! I quit watching after the 4th episode as it upset me, but my kid dragged me back in to finish the series. Watch at your own risk: Buyer beware.

Yeah, I expected better from Jason Bateman (executive producer), and I do think it has potential, but they have to get those rules cleared up. I mean it literally seemed like you could just go raid and pillage and burn down other team’s camps. LOL

Call me crazy, but that format would sell like hotcakes in today’s world (IF it wasn’t mostly staged).

Watching staged sports events are bad enough without watching staged reality shows. I’ll take a hard pass but thanks for the info.

You are watching the wrong sports if you think they are staged.
