Billy and I picked up a new toy today! 2016 Polaris 570 Ranger! We are so excited, as we’ve been contemplating buying one for some time now. Looking forward to some adventures! This one has a plastic (polycarbonate) windshield rather than glass and we’re wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to clean it without scratching it? Thanks!

Just make sure what ever you use it is ammonia free. I use this on My Harley windshield and also never use paper towel.

Time for some adventures! This is my first time driving it. I wish the pedals came out a little farther. )

Just tape a short section of 2X4 to each foot. Problem solved. Re-useable too. devil

Sharon. Platform shoes Babe! That windshield is probably doomed over time either way. Branches and scratches. Before hand cleaning spray off with pressure. Then clean with soft microfiber towel. Then use a windshield RainX treatment that causes rain to bead and run instead of stick. Use inside and out. Then rinse when dirty, spray with an aerosol window cleaner, and wipe away in circles with a soft microfiber towel, turning often. Best bet as I can see. Reapply the RainX as needed.

Btw, I have a 2015 Polaris 570 Sportsman. It is an absolute powerhouse and is easy on fuel consumption. Congrats and enjoy.

    Awesome!! Nice ride you two.

Windshields seem to be more of a PIA than it’s worth imo. Get good helmets. They always seem to fog up on me and the condensation in the morning or evening doesn’t go away. But to each their own.

    Congrats on the new machine!

I took my poly windshield off after the second trail ride. One slight dirty water splash to the front and you can’t see from it when the sun hits it. Then you stop to pour a little bit of water on it and wipe it down and it’s instantly scratched. Switched to a half windshield and we’ve loved it. Scratches don’t matter much and the wind is still deflected decently.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and congrats. We’re pretty excited to get out and use it this summer and especially this fall!

Congrats on the machine!!! We got the same one last year and I am quite impressed. We elected to go without a windshield at all. We have a 6X6 Ranger with full cab and it is a huge PIA in my opinion.

ENJOY, they are a lot of fun and great for chores!!
