Congrats Sharon, glad you guys are having fun making it your place.

Question.. do you plan on using it during the winter months.

For the time being the water gets shift off in winter but John’s got plans to make it year-round!

depending on when it was built the insulation could be a big factor… our place had 1 inch the 3 outside walls when we bought it.. that changed real fast!!!

Luckily it’s well insulated already, so there’s just a few final steps to making it year round with running water. Even if we use it this winter with no running water it’s a paradise to me. I never thought we’d have our own little slice of paradise and my own dock!! I can’t wait for spring and to get my boat up and running again!!

Sharon, we’ve had our cabin for many years. In the winter we bring lake water up for dishes etc. Drinking water for obvious reasons. In the we have slopbuckwts we carry waste water out and dump in the woods. Just ideas. Our drains are easy to take apart and reconnect.

Congratulations on your new cabin and your engagement

Whelp this weekend John and I got my old boat out of storage and started giving the old gal a clean up! We’ll be firing up the motor once we get some new spark plugs. Tires and hubs are good, lights work, and she’s been vacuumed and cleaned. We ran to Fleet Farm today for a new plug, new anchor rope, and some new boat fenders. I absolutely can’t wait to bring her up to our cabin for her first voyage since 2019!

Looks like a GREAT rig! If I’m not in my Kayak, almost ALL of my fishing takes place in a 14ft boat with 25hp tiller. It will be an awesome boat for your cabin!

just make sure your aware of your surroundings on the lake.

EPG might be bending over grabbing another corona from the cooler and not paying attention to where he’s headed with that pontoon!

We got the cabin open for the season and it feels great to have running water again! Absolutely gorgeous weather and lots of birds singing on our walk with the boys. Can’t wait to start sorting through fishing stuff to bring up soon!

Crazy your lake is still froze and I tilled my garden yesterday.
