Our Epic Weekend!

It’s an amazing feeling when you meet your life goals, and what’s more amazing is when you meet someone special who shares the same goals. Last weekend John and I officially became lake cabin owners! While cleaning and organizing at our new place, John took our weekend to and epic level by surprising me with an engagement proposal on our new dock! I said YES of course and we’ve been floating on clouds since! I’m feeling very blessed and very thankful for so many things, and looking forward to our new adventures!

Thank you Big G. It’s one of those odd and amazing situations – I know Billy would like John and I feel Billy’s spirit smiling down on us often.

Obvioulsy the engagement is the headline here – but get ready for the longest winter of your life! Maybe it’s a 4 season place, but we bought our cabin about the same time of year back in 2009, just in-time to shut the water off for the winter. Waiting for that spring was like waiting for the ice age to end!

no such thing as shutting the cabin down for winter……. just switch modes and adapt!!!

I understand keeping the location private, but what “general area” did you decide on?

We are near Outing/Emily, MN near John’s buddy’s cabin so we’re definitely looking forward to next spring and summer!

Sharon, obviously we chatted offsite, but I can’t help thinking about driving down I-80 in Nebraska with 40-60mph crosswinds and talking to your Dad on the phone. Thats when I found out about Billy and felt the blow it gave to your entire family. Indescribable the trembling in his voice and the deep passion and care he has for you and the entire family, including Billy’s. You’re a special woman with a lot of love to give to the right person. Seeing Steve’s approval says so much. So happy you found the right person and you are back on track to creating a lifetime of memories together. Best wishes to you both!!
