Just checking to see if anybody is up there now and has a current ice conditions report. I’d love to sneak up there this Friday and or Saturday but wondering how things look.
Thank you very much in advance.

My parents live on long lake just north of Fergus.
They said someone on Sunday drove a wheeler across the ice pulling a dock over to the public access.
A lot could have changed between then and now with these warm sunny days.

I’ve heard reports of people driving trucks on lakes by DL Easter weekend. I’d stick to utb’s myself, unless it was somebody else’s truck! Snow melted fast this week, Sunday we had 3-4 feet in the yard, now there are bare spots. I live in Ottertail.

I might try to get out one more time tomorrow in the Alexandria area. I checked the access today. The ice was pulled away from shore about a foot. I should be able to break off the thin edge of ice and get my wheeler into it. I’ll see what it looks like tomorrow.

That pic looks better than the lakes around me! I’m working on a house on Big Birch North of Freeport. The ice took a serious beating the last couple days.

Okay, I just zoomed in. That’s allot of slush, and no pants!

We headed to that are tomorrow thru Sunday. I had a buddy up in the area today and he said he was able to get on several lakes but said it was going to be tough on most after this weekend. Rain in the forecast for both tomorrow and Sat. That won’t help. It is fairly cool both Sat. And Sunday in that area. This is my last ice outing this season for sure. Hen I get home Sunday the ice gear is getting put away. I would not doubt we will be on open water someplace by next weekend. Good luck and be safe out there.

Well, cousin and I headed up this morning. The lake we’re on has plenty of good ice with minimal slush. Although we saw some really bad ice also. Been thundering most the morning with a few drizzles mixed in.
