Otter XTH Cabin

I bought an Otter XTH cabin and had it out for the first time today. On the instruction sheet it says to set it up you should pop the roof first then proceed to pop out the sides. To take it down pop in all the sides first, then the roof. I had to all but jump on the roof to get it to close. When I got home I went on youtube and searched for an instructional for the Otter. All I could find was one for a Clam. That one said to pop out the sides first then the roof last. Reverse that order to take it down.

Does anyone out there have an Otter XTH Cabin or Lodge that can tell me if the sheet I got was the correct way to set it up or was the Clam instructional right. The guy giving the tutorial said this would work for all hub-styles, four or six sided. Any help would be greatly appreciated toast

I don’t have the Otter, but I always pop the top first on my Clam and other hubs that I’ve had…putting it up and taking it down. You should post this on the Ice Fishing Forum to get more replies.

The Eskimo hub that I have also says to pop out the sides first and then the roof last. Reverse order for taking it down.

I have the Resort. Not sure what the directions say but I’ve been popping the sides first and finishing with the top when setting up. When breaking down I pop the top then the sides. Everything seems to be working smoothly for me.

I have the four sided otter Xth Hub and I always pop out the top first when setting up and pull it down first when I’m taking it down
