Otter Xt Hideout Chair

I recently purchased the Otter Xt Hideout and this is my first Otter so I’m pretty excited to try it out. After putting it together I’ve noticed the chair is not very stable. I don’t think it will break but it’s loose. I went to Cabelas and Thorne Bros to see if I installed it wrong and both of the chairs there were loose too. Has anyone else noticed this? It’s not so loose where you would think you’ll fall out of the chair but it’s loose enough to cause concern. All I can think about is the chair now and I’m considering returning it. If anyone has any ideas or fixes I would love to hear from you.
    Thanks,
    Bryan

Right at the base where the seat is connected… There just seems to be to much play.

You must be talking a. About where the seat peg goes in b. Where the post goes into the frame on the sled or c. None of the above

Off the Otter name, but since a couple of the light weight chairs got bent or broke. Was looking at a couple blind chairs might be a good option for the pop up. Anyone have any experience with a comfortable yet sturdy option? Obviously once the hub goes up you lose some mobility, sure makes a nice warming house though.

I’m talking about a. Where the seat peg goes in. I called Otter this morning and they said the reason there is play in the seat is for travel purposes. The seat can be removed to put the cover on. They suggested shimming the seat if I want it to stay put. I’ll try figure something out and report back because I’ll never be pulling the seat out for a cover.

Ok that’s what I thought you were talking about if that set up bugs you to much you could always pick up a nice large camping chair and use that 😉 That’s what I used for the last 3 years in my frabil because I didn’t like the boat seat it came with
