Otter XT and XT PRO insulation

    What is the difference in insulation value between the XT and the PRO?
    I prefer the bench seat and lighter weight of the XT but would like the
    Higher insulation.

    The pro is super easy to heat. Very warm shelters.

    XT is 600 denier thick fabric, Pro is 1200

    Both are fully insulated correct?

    i know the thickness of the fabric, I was asking about the insulation between the outer and inner layers of fabric. Is the insulation the same on both the XT and PRO, do they both have the same R value?

    Only the roof is insulated on the 650 where the 1200 is fully insulated.

    I have the 650 Lodge and mainly bought it for the bench seating, I’m always setting things on it and I can slide from one side to the other.

    I’ve never had problems keeping it warm.
    Personal preference I suppose.

    I was under the impression that they are now both fully insulated. The otter XT cottage has a “full thermal” icon listed under the image of the shack on the otter website.

    All otters are now fully insulated. The insulation itself is the same in both units. The only difference is the Canvas, seats and tub.

    I’d wager a pony that the pro has a higher R value. The total shell determines the R value, not just the innards.
