Have an opportunity to buy an older otter II magnum (green colored) with a hitch/tow bar. I know the dimensions are different for these sleds vs the newer otter pro models but I was wondering if the quality is the same? I have a hunch the newer pro models are a little bulkier but I don’t know for sure. anyone have any experience with the older otter II sleds? Im sure its still a great product. Looking to get into one of these sleds on the cheap as to buy one new with the hyflax and tow bar and cover ect. the cost really adds up.

Older ones were just as tough! I have broke one sled in my days and it was well deserved…
Buy in confidence.August 18, 2016 at 6:28 pm #1634728Thanks sand-burr. I met the man and picked it up this evening. It does seem just as well built as the new ones. I got the magnum sled, hyfax, a tow bar, and an otter cover all for $100. Now I can haul the pop up behind the quad with ease.
Got a baby due December 5th so who knows how much fishing I’ll get to do this winter but I can’t wait for ice.

No worries…just bring baby along!

August 19, 2016 at 1:57 pm #1634820@crappie55369 I am located in Mound myself, and just recently had twin boys with my wife. It isn’t as rough as it can seem! If you ever want to get out on the lake, let me know. I’d love to wet a line.

that sounds good Nick. I live on the island just a few blocks from Al and Almas. We can make plans to go out fishing sometime. I think I still have your number from earlier in the year somewhere in my phone but if not I can PM you mine. Congratulations on the twin boys! We are having a boy ourselves. Already making plans to put him in one of those bjorns and casting a line out so he can get a feel for fishing young.

Well I’m sure glad that you didn’t admit (publicly) that you had twin boys with someone other than your wife!
Anyway, you will have so much fun with them as they get older….kids are fun!!

Oh..no that wasn’t my kid, just thought it was a cute baby pic. Just want to set the record straight, the photo below: the 2 women are my kids, the dads are my son-in-laws, the 5 little ones (count’em) are my 5 grandsons…all under 5 years old! Ya…sorry to take this so far off topic.
